It began with a decision.
There was no club, so Arwa Mutabagani built one. In 1990, in Jeddah, she founded what would become one of Saudi Arabia's first riding clubs — and the first ever founded and led by a woman.
What began as one woman's ambition became a family legacy. Arwa's daughter, Dalma Malhas, grew up on these same grounds and carried the family's horsemanship onto the world stage — the first Saudi woman to compete, and to win a medal, at the Olympic Games. Two generations, two milestones for the Kingdom.

The Founder
Arwa Mutabagani
The first woman on the Saudi Olympic Committee — and the founder who gave the Kingdom an equestrian home of its own. She built Trio from the ground up, opening the sport to a new generation of Saudi riders.
The Daughter
Dalma Malhas
Arwa's daughter — the first Saudi woman to compete and win a medal at the Olympic Games. She carried the family's horsemanship from the grounds of Trio onto the world stage.
Trio Today
Still, at heart, a riding club.
Since 1990, Trio has grown into a wider sporting destination for families in Jeddah — but the horse remains its soul, and the legacy of the women who built it is its compass.

Trio is the first equestrian club to create and host an international showjumping tour in Jeddah — now in its second edition. Multiple weekends. More than 500 horses. Riders from across the globe, competing where the Kingdom's equestrian story began.
